Departing Broome after breakfast, travel along the spectacular Dampier Peninsula, also known as ‘Dampier Land’. Travelling up the red ‘pindan’ 4WD track, learn about the peninsula’s fascinating place in Australia’s history from your guided commentary. Your first stop is the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home of the Beagle Bay Church and its glimmering pearl shell altar, where you will enjoy morning tea.
Afterwards travel further north to the remote One Arm Point Community, the perfect place to view the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago and witness the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley. Visit the Community’s aquaculture hatchery, complete with reef fish and trochus shell. Travel a short distance to beautiful Cygnet Bay and join a fascinating Pearl Farm tour where you will learn about the world’s largest and most beautiful pearls that have been farmed in these pristine waters for generations by the family- owned business. Relax with lunch at the pearl farm restaurant overlooking beautiful Cygnet Bay.
At stunning Cape Leveque your guide will let the tyres down on the 4WD and drive along the beach to a secluded stop. Enjoy a swim and leisurely beach walk prior to our trip back along the track to BroomeIncludes morning tea and lunch and afternoon snack, accommodation pick up and drop off.
