Bungle Bungle Tours & Scenic Flights

Where are the Bungle Bungle?

Purnululu National Park is 304kms from Kununurra and 160kms from Halls Creek by road. It covers an area of 239,723 hectares and has an adjacent conservation reserve of 79,602 hectares. The Bungle Bungle Range - an extraordinary array of banded sandstone domes - covers 45,000 hectares of the park. These dramatically sculptured natural formations are unrivalled in their scale, grandeur and diversity of form anywhere in the world. Deservingly classed as one of Australia’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites – there is no doubt the Bungle Bungles should be on everyone’s travel bucket list.

Quick Bungle Bungles Facts:

  • The striking beehive shaped Bungle Bungle domes are the world's most exceptional example of cone karst formations.
  • They are made of sandstone deposited about 350 million years ago.
  • Erosion by creeks, rivers and weathering in the past 20 million years has carved out these domes, along with spectacular chasms and gorges, creating a surreal landscape.

To help you explore the region, we have put together a fantastic range of Bungle Bungles tours including magnificent Bungle Bungle helicopter flights, scenic flights and 4WD tours. Plus we can also assist you with booking your Bungle Bungles accommodation  – at the Bungle Bungle Bush Camp and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge which are truly spectacular!
