Pearl Luggers Museum

Description:
1 hour a ‘must do’ historical tour located right in the heart of Chinatown.
Itinerary:
Departs Broome
Dates:
Daily all year

Be taken on one of the most fascinating historical journeys in Western Australia. Be captivated as 150 years of Broome's unique maritime and pearling heritage unfolds in the very environment where the history was made - on the foreshore of Roebuck Bay's Dampier Creek.

The Pearl Luggers features two fully rigged and restored pearl luggers, surrounded by a replica intertidal jetty and Tenders store. It is the closest link to the pearling era of long ago.

Learn of the perils of the deep and experience first hand what made the pearl divers life so hazardous and what drove so many to put their lives at risk - was it the riches, the status or just the lure of the pearl?

Pearl meat is served to tour guests as part of the experience.  Please be aware it is a seafood product.  Please advise if there are any allergies at the time of booking

Free entry to children 5 years and under.

This tour is wheelchair friendly.
