A journey along the Gibb River Road is one of the last
Aussie outback adventures. It was originally constructed
in the 1960s to transport cattle from outlying stations to
the ports of Derby and Wyndham.
From 1 January 2018, if you are planning to visit the Mitchell Plateau in the far north west of the Kimberley, each traveller will now need an Uunguu Visitor Pass (UVP).
