Are there weight restrictions for riding the camels?

Yes there is. The reason for the weight restrictions is because it’s important not to put undue stress on the camels. The camels are sometimes doing multiple rides a day, so it’s essential that their health and wellbeing is a priority. The maximum body weights for camel rides varies, though typically it’s 90-100kg per individual. Any couples that exceed a combined weight limit of 170kg (individually no more than 100kg), will each be required to ride on their own camel and an additional charge will apply.

For children 5-15 years, the child’s weight must not exceed 60kg.

How much does it cost to ride a camel?

Prices vary for adults, children and lap sitters (0-4 years old). Alongside this the tour you choose will determine your price. As a general guideline adults will look to pay $50-100, children aged 5-15 years $35-$75 and lap sitters around the $10 mark. The price will be confirmed in your quote.
