They are especially useful when you’re exploring a new place or trying to figure out how to get around and find things to do when travelling.

We've put together a list of some of our favourite travel apps to help you find your way through the city or the outback, making plans or being spontaneous, or travelling at home or abroad.

Great for self-drive trips and spontaneity

Roadtrippers is an all in one app for driving anywhere across Australia, or if you are driving abroad. You can feel safe leaving with or without a plan, because Roadtrippers offers maps, navigation, and suggestions of where you can stop along your route. You can save your favourite spots and access reviews from previous patrons, or search for attractions by type: historic stops, breweries, lodging, and more.
