There is a lot of information around the internet about the Kimberley region of Western Australia - some of it accurate and some of it not so. Putting together an extensive itinerary for yourself can be quite daunting and you may have many unanswered questions.
Getting engaged or making the commitment to marry your partner is one of the biggest decisions a couple can make. As soon as a couple announces their engagement, the first question asked is “what date is the wedding?” In most cases that has not even been decided! But eventually, when the date is named, the headaches and stress about how to please family and friends on the big day can begin!
Set against the red pindan and just a stone's throw from Cable Beach, the Broome Turf Club is uniquely Broome and the perfect backdrop to a day at the races.
An annual highlight up North, the Broome races attract an array of punters from cattle station workers enjoying a day in the big smoke, to town locals adorned in their pearls and ready to pick a winner.

Broome is sometimes perceived as an expensive destination. Let’s face it, it’s a really remote spot, but once you get to know the town, you’ll find there’s plenty to do that doesn’t break the bank.
The Kimberley is one of the most unique destinations on earth, with landscapes that have been millions of years in the making. Comprising an area of more than 400,000 sq km and with a population of less than 40,000 one of the best ways (and sometimes the only way) to explore this remote outback area is on board a small group cruise. A Kimberley cruise lets you experience the astounding scenic coastline and diverse landscapes; from the pristine beaches to ancient gorge country, and the world-famous horizontal waterfalls.
The end of November is much looked forward to each year in the Kimberley, and in particular in Broome, when the Broome Lion's Club present their annual Mango Festival.
Christmas is looming - and now only 64 days away!
Do you have parents, relatives or friends travelling in the Kimberley in 2015 and you are wondering what to buy them for Christmas? Need something a 'bit different'?
While you are planning your travels in the Kimberley in 2015, we recommend that you book tours ahead rather than wait until you arrive at your destination. There are a couple of reasons for this. If you are travelling and have limited time to spend in a destination, you may well be disappointed that the tour you wish to experience is fully booked when you get there and you miss out - and from our experience this does happen when we try to get seats on tours where passengers have left it till the 'last minute'. By booking early, it assists the \tour operators in planning their operations, staffing levels and departures during the busy tourist months - particularly between May - August/early September.
