The Gibb River Road & Kalumburu Roads

The Gibb River Road with its spectacular scenery and many gorges provides an outback experience for the adventurous traveller. The road spans 660kms from Derby to the junction of the Great Northern Highway between Kununurra and Wyndham.
Along the Gibb River Road is the Kalumburu Road which links the Kalumburu Aboriginal Community to the outside world. It spans 267km and is also the vehicle access to the magnificent Mitchell Plateau and Mitchell Falls.
Access to the Gibb River and Kalumburu Roads is not usually possible during the wet due to flooding. The recommended time to travel these roads is between May and October.

Emma Gorge Resort includes a verandah bar, licensed restaurant, shop and laundry facilities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. A large swimming pool and lounge area surrounded by landscaped gardens lie on the banks of Emma Creek.
Transfers from/to Kununurra can be arranged.

Bungalows feature 1 x Queen bed and 2 x single beds, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, towels, tea & coffee making facilities, serviced daily, some with private balconies overlooking the Pentecost River.
